This project focused on rebranding the legacy Hillrom website to conform with Baxter’s design standards.
Bringing in Baxters web elements to an existing site had its own set of challenges. Updating hundreds of products and pages in a short amount of time with improved user experience.
The Problem:
The existing site needed to be rebranding to Baxter’s look and feel yet maintaining all the information structure of the legacy site.
My Role: UX Lead / Principle Developer
Responsibilities included:
Page scoping/documenting
Improving user experience for the knowledge section of the website
Ensuring links and navigation remain unbroken
Updating images to Baxter’s brand standards
Approach
1. Sitemapping
Inventory all products, pages and links on the website
2. Improve document structure
white papers, reference guides, user manuals, administrator guides, instructional manuals, service bulletins, end of service customer letters, Spec sheets, Brochures, training modules, videos, classroom trainings, and Case studies
Outcome
Improved product information
Organized all relevant documentation in a user focused manner to help users find the correct documents in a shorter amount of time. Filtering system improved to pin-point the exact category, product and documentation in the quickest, more efficient manner
